Can Hypnosis Make You Do Something Against Your Will? Is Past Life Regression Safe?
If you’re new to hypnosis, it can seem intimidating.
People wonder:
Is hypnosis dangerous?
Can hypnosis make you do something against your will?
Can a hypnotist control your mind?
And I get it.
We’ve all seen hypnosis in cartoons and movies, or even on stage, where someone will hypnotize someone to make them do what they want.
But hypnosis, specifically the kind of hypnosis I facilitate in past life regression, is nothing like that.
Hypnosis is simply a relaxed state where you’re able to access your subconscious mind. It is a completely natural mental state. If you’ve ever gotten really into a craft or book or done deep meditation, you already have experience with this type of state.
In past life regression hypnosis, we also access your past lives and a deeper subconscious state. This is still accomplished by entering that focused, relaxed state. You don’t leave your body, go into another dimension, or call forth a demon.
You remain aware in this state. You’ll be able to hear my voice, and you can still have conscious thoughts. Free will does NOT disappear during your session. In fact, you can come out of hypnosis at any time.
During a Beyond Quantum Healing Session, you remain in control. I’m there to simply guide you and ask you questions to help you get the most out of your session.
I don’t force you into anything. If a life that shows up for you feels like too much, I help you navigate it more gently if you’re able, or I help you move on to the next one.
This is why it’s important for me to see your face, whether you’re doing this over Zoom or if you’ve booked an in-person past life regression session in Asheville or Black Mountain. If something that comes up becomes uncomfortable, I’m there to guide you and support you.
Rather than feeling controlled or scared, clients usually say they feel calm, relaxed, focused, and internally aware.
Most clients also remember their sessions, though some people do not. If you do not remember your session, don’t worry. Nothing went wrong. Some people just go into a deeper hypnotic state and don’t remember things when they come out of it. But I always record your session so that you can go back and listen/watch as much as you’d like.
It’s also important to remember that you’re divinely protected during these sessions. I ask your guides and healers to be present as well as my own. They’re also there to guide you and protect you.
So if you were worried that hypnosis is dangerous or that you’ll lose control, I hope this post helped you realize that it’s very safe and that I’m there to guide and facilitate, not to make you dance around the room like a chicken.
