How to Prepare for a Past Life Regression Session (Including Setting Up Your Space)

You’ve booked your Past Life Regression Session and you’re super excited for what’s to come.

You want the environment and energy to feel just right, so let me guide you through some mental, physical, and emotional preparation to help you get the most out of your session. I’ll also go over what to expect after your session.

Proper preparation can help you relax more deeply and get the most out of your past life regression session.

Mental Prep

First (and biggest), be sure to be thinking about and writing down your questions for your session.

These questions can be about anything you’re looking for wisdom your guides on, from life purpose, to relationships, to career, to specific people or events.

Some examples include:

  • Why am I so drawn to people who tend to take advantage of me?

  • What was the purpose of my last relationship?

  • How can I best use my natural talents in this lifetime?

  • How can I solve issues with my partner and I are experiencing?

  • What kind of job should I be seeking?

  • How can I move on from x experience?

  • Why does it feel so hard to put myself first?

  • Why do I feel like every time I try to start something new life gets in the way?

These questions can be specific (about a certain person, event, etc.) or more broad. Aim for about 10-15 questions, but it’s ok if you have fewer and really want to focus more deeply on them.

Also, be sure to rank your questions in order of importance. We will try to get to all of your questions, but sometimes we can’t get to them all, especially if you have a lot.

Second, reflect on patterns in your life. This can help you come up with an intention for your session as well as some of your questions.

These could be patterns in broader things like relationships, career, or daily habits. But they could also be things like:

  • Self-sabotage

  • Procrastination

  • Negative thought patterns

  • Areas where you doubt yourself

  • Areas where you feel most confident

  • Things you’re good at

  • Things that frustrate or trigger you

  • Things you’re very drawn to

And finally in terms of mental preparation: be open to the experience.

Try not to come in with any preconceived notions, set ideas on how you think the session will go, or concrete outcomes you really want to happen.

What’s meant to show up in a session will show up.

Trying to force an outcome will only leave you frustrated and will take you out of your relaxed, hypnotic state.

Be open to receiving insights in different ways, such as sensation and inner knowing.

Don’t let your ego convince you that if your guides give you an answer you weren’t expecting, the session went wrong.

Practice being in a relaxed state so you don’t come in feeling you need to be hyper aware of everything that’s going on.

All of these things are counterproductive to your session, and I want you to get the most out of it.

Physical Environment Prep

First and foremost, please make sure you’re in a quiet environment. The last thing you want is for a child, partner, roommate, neighbor, or friend to disturb your session, even if it’s unknowingly.

Try to book your session when you can have some quiet time. Make sure anyone else in your space knows that you need quiet for the duration of your session and that they shouldn’t disturb you (unless you need assistance going to the bathroom during hypnosis).

Secondly, make sure you’re in a space where you can recline.

Ideally, this would be a bed or comfy recliner. But you can also use a yoga mat with pillows and blankets if that’s what you prefer.

If you’re doing an online session, make sure I’m able to see your face in your reclining position. So have a table nearby so you can position the computer/camera accordingly.

If you’re doing an in-person past life regression session in Asheville, Black Mountain, or Swannanoa, please have a chair nearby where I can sit while you are reclining.

Third, use headphones if doing an online session.

This can really help with any ambient noise as well. Make sure your headphones connect to your computer and that Zoom is set to use the microphone on your headphones so that I can hear you.

And finally, have a glass of water nearby.

You will need this for the Water Alchemy Ceremony, and it’s good to have around in case you need it during our session. It’s also helpful to have as soon as you come out of hypnosis to begin the grounding process.

Emotional Prep

I recommend journaling in whatever way feels best for you leading up to your session. This doesn’t have to be the traditional “write out all your thoughts” style of journaling.

You can do bullet points, doodle, stream of consciousness writing immediately after waking, or any other kind of journaling you feel connected to.

On top of that, I definitely recommend a dream journal. With past life regression and Beyond Quantum Healing, it’s accepted that your session technically “starts” as soon as you book it. So pay attention to your dreams once you’ve booked leading up to your session.

  • Are deceased family members visiting you?

  • Are there certain recurring themes in your dreams?

  • Are you having the same dream every night?

These are all things to pay attention to.

And finally, pay attention to any synchronicities leading up to your session.

  • Do you keep seeing the same number everywhere?

  • Does someone on TV say the same word you’re reading on your phone at the exact same time?

  • Is there an animal you keep seeing over and over?

  • Has a friend you haven’t spoken to in a long time just reached out?

Things like this are worth noting in your journal.

Post Session Prep

It’s important to prepare for what comes AFTER your session as well.

Firstly, directly after your session, it’s important to ground. You just took quite the journey, and none of it really involved your physical body. You might feel floaty or like you’re still kind of in a dream. To help you feel more like yourself, do a few of the following to help you feel at home again in your physical body:

Eat

Walk around outside barefoot (weather permitting)

Do some gentle stretching

Drink water

Spend some time with any pets

Listen to soothing music

Take a bath

Place your attention on your breath

These things can help get you back into “real life” after your past life regression session.

And finally, just like how your session technically starts before we meet, integration, insights, and messages will happen after we meet as well.

Maybe you don’t receive an answer to one of your questions from your guides, or it doesn’t feel complete.

Don’t worry, this is normal. Sometimes we aren’t meant to hear things YET. This doesn’t mean you did anything wrong or that the session didn’t “work.” It just means that the answers are still coming.

Sessions can also feel like A LOT. Remember we’re exploring anywhere from 3-5 of your past lives PLUS getting answers from your guides PLUS receiving healing from Source. That’s a lot in a 3 hour period. Give it time for everything to integrate. Meditate, reflect, and journal on what comes after your session as well as during it.
